Our facilities are suitable for most purposes, from meetings to parties and dance classes, with very competitive prices.

The Venue is managed by a dedicated team of volunteers.  If you have sparetime and would like to join a team of dedicated volunteers, to support the local community, please contact us on 01207 233512.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ONLINE BOOKING

In order for you to book on line you first have to register with The Venue.  The system will allow you to look at the availability but you cannot place a request until you receive an invite from us by email to register as a new customer.  Please call us on 01207 233512 to register to become a member (free). All on line bookings are deemed Pending until they have been approved by The Venue.  This may lead to some rooms looking as if they are available when they are in the Pending mode. If in doubt please contact The Venue.  

FACILITIES

All the rooms at The Venue are named after pits which were prominent in the area.  Coal mining played a huge part in the development of Stanley and created the wonderful friendly community we have today. 

Disabled Access

The Venue is adapted for disabled users.  There is a ramp to front of the building for ease of access and there are disabled toilets.  The Venue is on one floor and no stairs, and all doorways are wheelchair friendly. 

Louisa Lounge

Why not drop in for a coffee and chat with your friends.  The cafe offers a range hot and cold drinks, and a selection of biscuits.  Why not try one of our freshly ground cups of coffee, relax and spend some quality time with friends. A warm welcome is always assured.   The Louisa Lounge also exhibits paintings for sale by the local artist John Ord.  

PAYMENT METHODS

The Venue accepts payment by Bank Card, Credit Card, Cash, Bank Transfer, Online through our webside thevenestanley.org.uk  (certain purchases only).  Please ask for more details.  
NOTE: The Venue currently cannot accept payments over the telephone.  Bank card payments have a minimum of £1 spend.
